Today would have been Dr. Seuss’ 118th birthday! This week we have written poems and read The Lorax in grades 3-5, then decorated the basketball court with Brown Barbaloots, truffula trees, The Lorax and Swoamy Swans while we enjoyed this beautiful day! 🌞 📚 We’ve also had several twins, wacky dressers and people in stripes! Tomorrow is Crazy Socks Day! 🧦

This week is Dr. Seuss week!
We have a competition going this
week, between classes, to see who can
raise the most money. We are selling
paper balloons for $1. For each balloon
purchased, your child can put their
name on the balloon and it will be
added to the hot air balloon basket
for their class. The class with the
most paper balloons on their basket
receives a reward on Friday, March 4,
2022
All money collected during this event
will go towards the end of the year
trip!

This week (2/28/22-3/4/22) we are celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday all week! Each day has a theme based on a Dr. Seuss book and students, staff, and volunteer readers are welcome to come dressed in celebration of Dr. Seuss week!
🔴Monday - Wear stripes, inspired by The Cat in the Hat's hat!
⚪️Tuesday - Find a buddy (or buddies) and dress up as twins, inspired by Thing 1 and Thing 2!
🔴Wednesday - Dress wacky - mismatched clothes, crazy hair, be creative!
⚪️Thursday - Wear mismatched socks, crazy socks, toe socks, etc. inspired by Fox in Socks!
🔴Friday - Wear your pajamas so you're nice and comfy for whenever we need to drop and listen to a volunteer read! As a challenge, try to not yawn while listening to Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book!

Mrs. Coffman and Ms. Vaughn got into the Two’s Day spirit with matching shirts! First grade and the rest of the school had a great time celebrating this unique day.
